The Methods
YOGA

Multi-tasking is not only a commonly used term in society today, it is a major cause of chronic stress. The most
useful aspect of yoga practice according to Maria, is being aware of what
you are doing and feeling right now, at
this moment. The gentle Hatha Yoga that Maria teaches is so simple, and yet powerfully affective in
addressing
the underlying causes of tight, aching muscles.
When was the last time you took a deep breath and let go of  
the tension in your body? Yoga is a holistic wellness practice that addresses strength, balance, focus, flexibility,
and concentration. Maria teaches you how to use the science of yoga in your every day life. If there is such a thing
as the
fountain of youth, then yoga is the quickest way to get there!
PERSONAL TRAINING and POST REHABILITATIVE EXERCISE

Regular exercise is recommended by the American Heart, Diabetes, and Arthritis Associations, to name but
a few. More than five billion dollars was spent on home exercise equipment in 2007 (National Sporting
Goods Association). Without knowing how to use it correctly however,
exercise equipment can be the
cause of chronic pain, rather than the cure.
When approached correctly, exercising can be fun and
rewarding; equipment is useful, but not necessary. Maria teaches
five basic movement patterns, combined
with how to use work-out equipment properly if needed; thus creating the foundations of
safe and effective
exercise programs.
HYPNOSIS

Subconscious memories are stored away in your mind as feelings. Current events are continually
re-stimulating subconscious memories by association. An example would be still feeling nervous behind the
wheel, ten years after being injured in a car crash. Maria calls these re-stimulated feelings "chains', because
each time the emotion is re-experienced a new link is formed. Hypnosis can be used to break the chains that
are weighing you down, and causing you to feel tense and uncomfortable. Hypnosis is a natural state;
you
remain aware and in control at all times.

REIKI

The Japanese word Reiki means Universal Life Force Energy. Everything in the Universe is made up of
energy including your thoughts, differentiated only by the rate of vibration. Negative thoughts can have a
damaging effect upon the physical body creating dis-ease, chronic pain, or discomfort. The Reiki
practitioner facilitates a flow of higher vibrational energy to aid in the healing process.
The session is
passive and requires no movement on the part of the receiver,
making it ideal for anyone who is
physically challenged. Reiki practitioners can work on themselves, plants, animals, and situations, as
well as on other people.
Maria teaches a Certified Reiki Practitioners Workshop for levels I, II, and III
(Master Level). Commonly received feedback after a Reiki session is that
the experience is soothing
and deeply relaxing.
Reiki is an excellent adjunct to all other health and wellness modalities, and is
being accepted today in hospitals all over the country.
